Rehabilitation is a vital part of recovery following an injury or break. The aim of rehabilitation is to help restore normal function to a previously injured area of the body. This form of treatment is usually used within an Osteopathy treatment however some injuries require a more intense rehabilitation programme. This type of exercise programme can be used to help with injuries such as breaks, sprains, muscle pulls and post-operative care for joint replacements.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage relieves swelling by gently manipulating specific areas of the body to help lymph that is casing swelling move to an area with working lymph vessels to aid drainage of the fluid. It can be used to relieve painful swelling in your arms and legs caused by lymphedema.

Achilles Tendinopathy is a condition that affects the Achilles Tendon.

Initially, the injury causes pain and sometimes swelling around the heel. If left untreated, the condition can cause thickening of the tendon which leads to an increased feeling of stiffness and lack of flexibility in the ankle and calf.

One of the best things you can do to help treat the condition is to ice directly over the achillies tendon.

Tip- never put ice directly on the skin, always wrap an ice pack in a protective sleeve or thin towel
